Morzine, the 1000 year old village at the heart of the Portes du Soleil
Morzine’s chocolate-box village in the Haute-Savoie offers unique ski holidays. Since it’s located at the heart of the Portes du Soleil (12 resorts either side of the French-Swiss border), accessing the mountains couldn’t be easier. Morzine’s state-of-the-art ski lifts share the slopes with traditional wooden chalets, now converted into charming ski restaurants. The Portes du Soleil is the perfect place to explore both countries, so it’s sure to be a hit with athletic snow-lovers and less experienced skiers.
The Portes du Soleil network offers:
- 197 ski lifts and 280 pistes (27 black, 104 red, 119 blue and 33 green)
- Links in France: Morzine to Abondance, Avoriaz, la Chapelle d’Abondance, Chatel, Les Gets, Montriond and St Jean d’Aulps; and in Switzerland: Champery to Morgins, Torgon, Val d’Illiez-Les Crozets-Champoussin.
The Morzine-Les Gets sector offers:
