First & foremost
a family tale !

Of the former Olympic downhill ski champion of Squaw Valley in 1960, Jean Vuarnet who grew up between these four walls, and later of Paule and her husband, architect Claude Marullaz, who decided to build La Bergerie in 1976. From the very beginning, La Bergerie was ahead of its time, including kitchenettes in the bedrooms

Then came Paule and her husband, architect Claude Marullaz, who decided to build La Bergerie in 1976. From the very beginning, La Bergerie was ahead of its time, with kitchenettes in the rooms.

For over 30 years now, Caroline, Paule and Claude’s daughter, joined by her husband Eric and their children, Alexandra and Arthur, have welcomed you to this family home in the heart of Morzine-Avoriaz 1000. In this 4-star "family hotel," everything is designed so that your stay feels like a home away from home. Days and weeks are enjoyed with family, as a couple, or with friends…
And if you still had any doubt about the decidedly family-oriented nature of La Bergerie, remember that children under 12 (U12) stay free in their parents’ room (or grandparents, older siblings…!).

An oasis with the village as its jewel!
And as Caroline and Eric so perfectly say:
"Our home; your refuge!"

Welcome to your home
away from home!

As in any family home, there is one place where friends and generations gather… which invites you to curl up and read peacefully by the fireplace… where passions ignite before a VI nations rugby match or a stage of the Tour de France... In our home, as in your own, this place is the lounge which here centres around the bar. Lounge and bar are charming and homely in style and the room bursts to life during the children's afternoon snack and evening meal time.

Offering you a selection of exciting wines each telling their own story, an emphasis on the beers of the Savoie region but also cocktails and all the soft drinks and juices a well-stocked bar should offer. And special mention must be made of Caroline’s tea menu promising delicious combinations of Kusmi Tea or rare recipes from the Herboristerie des Pères Chartreux...
