In winter the little ones amuse themselves running around the garden building snowmen and igloos In summer and winter, the outdoor pool of Hotel La Bergerie beckons with the promise of relaxation, and, always comfortably warm at temperatures of between 26°and 30° depending on the season, a dip is such a treat after a hard day on the mountain. The sauna, originating in Finland, is recommended to relax and unwind. The raised temperature helps the skin to eliminate accumulated toxins. A splash of lukewarm or cold water on leaving the sauna helps to get the circulation going again. Or in winter, what better than a roll in the snow!

The steam room - otherwise known as a steam bath or Turkish bath - is a hot-air bath. In contrast with the sauna, which is dry, the steam room uses humidity. The heat causes the body to sweat profusely and dilates the pores of the skin.

The sauna is to be found outside by the pool with a view of the mountains, and the steam room is right beside it.
